Full Access lets a custom iOS keyboard use the network. Auri needs it for cloud voice typing and AI writing tools—not for plain typing. iOS uses Apple’s keyboard for secure fields such as passwords and PINs, and many apps also block third-party keyboards in payment fields.

Does Auri Keyboard work in every app?

Auri works in most apps and standard text fields. iOS switches to Apple’s system keyboard in password, PIN, and many card fields. Some apps can also choose not to allow third-party keyboards.

Why does Auri ask for Full Access?

Full Access is the iOS permission that lets a custom keyboard use the network. Auri needs it for cloud voice typing, rewriting, translation, and Ask Auri. Plain typing still works without it, and you can turn the permission off at any time.

Can voice typing stay on my iPhone?

Yes. Choose On-Device English in Auri’s transcription settings. Auri also offers selectable cloud engines for more languages and different speed or accuracy tradeoffs.

How do I add Auri Keyboard?
  1. Install Auri and open the app.
  2. Follow setup, or go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards.
  3. Tap Add New Keyboard, choose Auri, and decide whether to allow Full Access.
  4. In any text field, hold the globe key and choose Auri.
How do I switch languages and layouts?

Open Auri, go to Keyboard Settings, and choose Keyboard Languages. You can add more than one language and pick a layout for each, then switch from the keyboard.

Can a writing tool change only selected text?

Grammar, translation, and paraphrase can work on selected text or the draft available to the keyboard. iOS may expose only part of a long selection, so shorter selections tend to work best.

Can I use Auri for free?

Yes. Auri is free to start, with daily limits on some features. Pro raises or removes those limits and includes extras such as additional keyboard themes.
